Brian, I just noticed that GOK appears to be attempting to load /dev/js0... which I believe is a joystick (unrelated to the wacom issue). Is it possible your GOK configuration was set to use a joystick?
If you find you need to unconfigure GOK completely, unfortunately you may need to manually delete your ~/.gconf/app/gok directory. Then run gconftool-2 --shutdown, and retry launching GOK.
