To test that I renamed

/usr/share/locale/sv/LC_MESSAGES/libgweather.mo

to

/usr/share/locale/sv/LC_MESSAGES/libgweather.mo.bak

and it still found the Swedish translations. So it ought to work also when the translations are stripped.
