[Hardy} Voice control applet crashes when being added to panel

I installed gnome-voice-control on Hardy final. I used the panel context menu to try to add the applet, but after clicking the add button, I got an error (attached).

Expected behaviour: the applet should have been added to the panel for use.

This feature is actually touted in the press release at http://www.ubuntu.com/news/ubuntu-8.04-lts-desktop which is why I decided to try it.

Thank you for the report. This has been reported in bug 219303 [1], and the fix is prepared.
