the same problem with setting winodow title bar. i need to switch through other applications and come back to get the expected complete dialogue box. in addition to this bug what i realize in my system is the gnome tweak window keeps flickering when cursor hovers above it. sad.

This bug is very easy to reproduce, especially with default X session

- Open gnome-tweaks
- Window Titlebar -> Placement: Left
- Relaunch few times until you see black Window Titlebar with missing buttons. If you try to resize window buttons will re-appear

With Wayland session this bug is slightly different. After you restart gnome-tweaks with left-aligned titlebar buttons visually everything is correct. But if you try to select something on the sidebar window will start to flicker. Again, resize also helps here.

for workaround you can copy the file

/usr/share/applications/org.gnome.tweaks.desktop

to your home folder

~/.local/share/applications

and change the following line in org.gnome.tweaks.desktop:

from:
StartupNotify=true

to:
StartupNotify=false

hope this helps 😜

ps: don't forget to restart the shell by pressing the key's:
Alt + F2
r
ENTER
