Just a little more information that may help here.
The uptime on my system is rarely more than a couple of days at a time due to a
flakey power supply here.
The USB stick mounting problems are also present for CD/DVDs put into the DVD
drive. These can also be manually mounted with the command
pmount -d /dev/cdrom
and all is hunky dory then.
The USB sticks have been inserted a number of times during the day, each time
mounting with the command
pmount -d /dev/sda1
and unmounting them before removing them (right click, unmount volume)
When mounted as sda1 and navigating to 'places => my computer' sda1 and TAT
CODISK 2.0 appear in the menu, the TAT CODISK 2.0 being unmountable us it is
defined as busy
Hope this helps.
I hope this is a bug and not moronic tendencies on my part!
