Thank you for the debug output. For the records: the kernel correctly recognizes
/dev/sdc and sdc1, pmount can apparently mount it, but hal does only know about
/dev/hdc, not the partition sdc1. I just wonder what happened to sda and sdb.
Did you insert/remove the stick several times?
I need some further information:
* The output of 'mount' (it's small, no attachment needed)
* maybe the output of /var/log/kern.log (dmesg only contains the last couple
of kilobytes, and the interesting history has already gone)
* The same debug information directly after a clean reboot (your computer
appears to be running for about 50 days already)
