I think this is the same bug, but just in case it isn't: I installed the GNOME 3 shell and attempted to log into a GNOME session straight from the login screen. After parts of the desktop appeared, I got an error report stating the GNOME desktop had crashed.

If it's not the same bug, let me know and I'll upload the apport information properly.
