As reported two days ago (bug #1967885), my monitor is locked when the screen blanks, even though I have turned locking off.

Today, I find that gnome-shell is unresponsive when I unlock. I ran Alt + F2 and then r to have gnome-shell restarted. That works but apport informs me that gnome-shell has (or had) crashed.
