I wonder if this is cause by the fix for bug 1919972. Please try installing:

  https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock/68ubuntu20.10.1/+build/19931028/+files/gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock_68ubuntu20.10.1_all.deb

(which is a downgrade) and then log in again.
