When I installed Steam, the launcher opened. However, instead of showing the icon, which the Gnome launchpad did, the side-bar showed no icon and only showed "Unknown" as the title, even though the window is titled "steam".

To reproduce, simply download Steam from the steam website, run dpkg -i on the deb, and run the launcher after downloading the prerequisites.
