Hello Joseph,

thanks for your email. I'm trying to install the Kernel 4.14 from this
link: http://sourcedigit.com/22814-install-linux-kernel-4-14-rc5/ but it
doesn't work. After the two first commands all other show the message "not
found".

I'll try to answer your questions. This problem started after an upgrade
from 17.04 to 17.10. With ubuntu 17.04 (Gnome) I tipped the key "space" and
could immediatly put the password an work further. Now I'm asked to click
over my name (even though I'm the only user an have only one account) then
the password and everything is out.

I'm not sure which kernel I was using. Maybe 4.10.0-37-generic? I'm still
use this one on my laptop.

I need to apologize that I'm not an user so advanced. But I'm working now
and trying to install the version 4.14.

Well; I'm still on computer for the next two hours and I can answer if you
have questions.

Thank you too.
