after unlocking screen, status is still set to 'away' instead of 'available'

after letting the screensaver come on and screen lock, when i unlock the screen, my IM status is set to 'away' instead of 'available'

Joe, can you try disabling all gnome-shell extensions and see if you can still reproduce this issue then.

Yes, still can reproduce with all extensions disabled.

Can you attach a fresh copy of ~/.cache/gdm/session.log, after reproducing with extensions disabled.
