On Xorg, enabling or disabling DiNG does not « fix » the flickering animation.
But.
On Wayland, enabling DiNG has another side-effect :
it triggers the full opacity of Dash-to-Dock, if dynamic transparency enabled in D-t-D.
So maybe something related to DiNG while on Wayland particularly ?
