Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

=================================
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

=================================
$ apt-cache policy gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center:
  Installed: 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu3
  Candidate: 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu3
  Version table:
 *** 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu3 0
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

=================================
I tried to change shortcut for the "Move window to workspace 1" action. I changed it to the "Ctrl+Shift+!". After that I tried to reset this configuration (I pressed "Backspace" on this action, and it changed to the "Disabled").

But, this shortcut still works. It means, when I press "Ctrl+Shift+!" an active window moves to the first workspace.

=================================
I guess the right behavior is to reset shortcut for an action, when it's in the "Disabled" state, and shortcut must not work anymore.

Thanks in advance!

/Regards,
Alexander

One more comment here.

Even if I use this hotkey (in this example "Ctrl+Shift+!") for an other action, it still works as it was applied before (in this example for the "Move window to workspace 1"), and doesn't work for the new action at all.

thank you for your bug report, do you use the desktop effects option? is that specific to some shortcuts or do you get the same bug to take a screenshot for example or go to the next track?

Hello Sebastien. No, I don't use effects at all. You could have a look at the screenshot in the attachment.

Thanks.

So, I tried the same sequence for the "Run terminal" action, and I got the same problem. It means, I set "Ctrl+Alt+t" shortcut to the "Run terminal" action, after that I reset it (now it's in the "Disabled" state), but I still can run the terminal by pressing the "Ctrl+Alt+t" shortcut.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Gnome Settings Daemon is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I've just tried to reproduce the issue, and I didn't manage to do that, so, I would say, it finally works now!

Thanks for the notification, I even forgot about the issue :)
