Some of that has gotten dated (e.g. we don't use HAL anymore), but it's still roughly descriptive. Many of the tools listed there are still useful in isolating where in the stack problems creep in.
I'd like to see if I can reproduce this issue locally. Can someone suggest a game (ideally a freely available one) that demonstrates this behavior?
