When I close the lid of my Thinkpad T400 and open it again, gnome-settings-daemon crashes. From /var/log/messages:

Jan 11 22:09:32 l13800 kernel: [ 7605.708741] gnome-settings-[7753]: segfault at 8 ip 00007f2a57f9d671 sp 00007fff68cb0970 error 4 in libxrandr.so[7f2a57f98000+8000]

I run gnome-settings-daemon with no-daemon and with Valgrind and the output log is attached.

Confirming that this behavior happens with my Dell 1420n laptop and Ubuntu Jaunty / x86 [in development].

Steps to reproduce:

1) Close the lid

Result: gnome-settings-daemon crashes as described by bug submitter (above)
