We need to figure out why the daemon is started automatically on session start. Please clear the Xfce session cache (Settings Manager > Session and Startup > Session) and relog. Did it resolve the problem?

If no, try to remove the gnome-settings-daemon package. The package manager will tell you if this action will break any dependencies.
