Bug Description

Binary package hint: metacity

Selecting "Automatically remember running applications when logging out" or clicking on "Remember currently runnning application" doesn't save the current session. It simply doesn't save anything at all. If you log out and then log back in again after doing either of these things no applications are started.

Running "gnome-session-save" from the command line does seem to save the session though.

Ubuntu 8.10 beta.

metacity:
  Installed: 1:2.24.0-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1:2.24.0-0ubuntu1
  Version table:

This is a matter for gnome-session, not metacity.
