Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
[current version in Maverick]
In most of the dropdown lists, many choices are missing. For example, in General --> Actions --> When the suspend button is pressed, only "Suspend" and "Hibernate" are shown, when "Ask me" and "Do nothing" would be reasonable.
Here's somebody complaining about the lack of "Do nothing" in "When battery power is critically low": http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9994474&postcount=22
The full list of actions is currently only accessible from gconf-editor (apps-->gnome-power-manager-->actions and -->buttons). |

Bug #156645 is a special case of this. |
