I've tried to reproduce this bug without any luck using:
a. Ubuntu 10.10 NE - gnome-power-manager 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 - Asus eee 1001px b. Ubuntu 10.04 32bits Desktop Edition - gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 - Asus eee 1001px c: Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 Desktop Edition - gnome-power-manager 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 - HP Compaq V3218la
This is more likely to be a kernel, graphics driver or pm-utils bug, so, I'm reassigning it to pm-utils.
