Unloading module thinkpad_acpi from kernel (modprobe -r thinkpad_acpi) fixes this problem = sleep button works, but many other are not functional.
Can it be bug in thinkpad_acpi? Because I am kubuntu user (with R61i), so I dont think this bug is related to gnome powermanager.
PS: it is present also with Maverick packages and its kernel.
