That fix did not work for me. The battery state is showing correctly, but my discharge/charge rate is incorrect:

$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: discharging
present rate: 0 mA
remaining capacity: 4511 mAh
present voltage: 11822 mV

cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charging
present rate: 0 mA
remaining capacity: 4479 mAh
present voltage: 11808 mV
