Here is the complete output while running in verbose mode:

This behavior was not there before dapper and I was running g-p-m in Breezy. I can also tell gpm to blank the screen when the lid is closed and the screen will blank when I pull the AC cord. Less annoying I suppose.

g-p-m is seeing the AC power cord pull as a lid event.
