I looked up both of the posted bugs, and they seem to be in reference to HAL version 0.5.9. I checked Synaptic to verify whether I was using this package or not, and it seems as though I'm still using version 0.5.8, the version that supposedly works. I'm at a total loss at this point and may try to reinstall Feisty. I'll post more updates as they come along.
