Bug Description

The Computer menu on the panel appears to be a somewhat Ubuntu-spesific
alteration (judging by the Gnome 2.8 screenshot gallery). I won't argue if it's
a good thing as such, but it does present some additional problems especially in
light of your (well-appreciated) goal to be usable by most everyone. Namely, as
it's non-stock-Gnome stuff, the menu is not properly translated into officially
supported Gnome languages unless you do the work yourselves. Being that it's one
of the very few strings visible in the default desktop, it kinda jumps out, and
I'm not sure the Computer menu is worth that.

Anyway, while it is my intent to provoke some further thinking on deviating from
stock Gnome, I suppose you wouldn't want to switch back and forth either at
least for Warty. So FWIW, here are some relevant translations into Finnish (fi)
from the Computer menu:

"Computer" = "Tietokone"
"Home" = "Koti"
"Disks" = "Levyt"
"Network" = "Verkko"
"Desktop Preferences" = "Työpöydän asetukset"
"System Configuration" = "Järjestelmäasetukset"

And from the Applications (or "Sovellukset", as is correctly translated) menu
these two entries appear untranslated:

"Help" = "Ohje"
"About Ubuntu..." = "Tietoja Ubuntusta..."

(I hope the non-ASCII goes through fine; ö = ö ä = ä)
