I can't find the custom menu applet (or indeed any applet but the Main Menu) in /usr/lib/bonobo/servers (which the standard location GNOME panel applet Bonobo .server files, according to http://projects.gnome.org/ORBit2/appletstutorial.html#AEN102). Yet "Menu bar" is visible in the Add to Panel dialog box for me too. Are there any other locations GNOME searches for panel applets?
