Say I go to "Panel --> Properties --> Background" and choose a "solid color" there. Then the window list in Gnome 2.24 has no separators, i.e. the different task are not separated by a vertical line (as they are if I use the "system theme" instead of "solid color"). |

Note that this is only the case for non-active windows, the active window has a separator. |
