Bug Description

Hi,

This seems like a bug to me.

gnome-nettool claims it cannot give me the link speed. but mii-tool does this just fine.

Surely this must be a mistake.

A comment from a dupe that matches what the upstream bug says and might be helpful info:

gnome-nettool reports my "Link speed" as "not available", unless I run
gnome-nettool as root, yet gnome-nettool has no way I can run it as
root via a desktop file. The gnome-nettool package should include a
  gnome-nettool-as-root.desktop
