I'm now using Ubuntu Desktop 8.04 (Hardy), upgraded from 7.10 (Gutsy). It's still not working: gnome prompts for the password, and after I supply it, gives me the error "Unable to set up crypto device".

Following the guides I mentioned in my last post resulted in the attached logs.
