Using Gutsy, I'm not able to control the volume of my Plantronics DSP 400 USB headset via the gnome volume manager. It does work properly for my SB live 5.1.
I am able to properly control the volume using the curses alsamixer, so it seems related to the gnome volume manager interfaces only.
Using the keyboard volume controls results in the same effect as using the gnome volume manager.
When I run the gnome volume manager and the curses alsamixer at the same time, I start seeing the same effects in the curses version. I only have to change the card in the gnome volume manager to return the curses alsamixer back to correct functioning.
