I've been noticing this problem as well. I believe the OP is referring to the Gnome Keyring password dialog. I find that it forces me to type my password 2 or 3 times before it will "accept" my password. The first time I type my password in the dialog goes away and immediately reappears just as though I had typed the wrong password.

I have confirmed that this is not simply an issue of mistyping my password the first time. This happens at every reboot no matter how careful I am at typing my password.
