I started with a stock Karmic Gnome desktop running (other than a bunch of packages like openssh-server, openssl, etc installed). Ran ssh-keygen -b 4096 and put a passphrase on the key. now:
- $ git clone git://etc -- fails with "github Agent admitted failure to sign using the key."
- $ SSH_AUTH_SOCK=0 git clone git://etc -- works just fine!

So, I'm pretty sure there's still a bug here!
