On the Ubuntu 10.04 development branch, plugging in my Sandisk Sansa Fuze in MSC mode results in an incorrect/partial mount.
What I expected:
Plug in Sansa, icon appears on my desktop and possibly a dialog opens asking me what to do. Drag and drop of files onto the device as a generic Mass Storage Class Device works properly.
What I got instead:
Plug in Sansa, no desktop icon, Rhythmbox (or any media player) doesn't see it, no dialog asking me what to do. Under Places/Computer, Nautilus will show "Sandisk Sansa Fuze 4GB" but won't let me browse or do anything with it.
If I plug in my Micro SD card, then it mounts as "Sandisk Sansa Fuze 4GB:16GB" and I can browse the Micro SD part only.
------
Setting the device to MTP works, but then it becomes a dumb 18.6 GB blob where I can't drag and drop or browse it and I have no control as all where files go. Yay Microsoft! |
