Can't your fix be commited into main repo, can it?
I wander how the contribution model works in Ubuntu and why such regress can be meet each fresh release. Of course I like Unity and general feeling of Ubuntu. However crashing into black boot screen with no response after a minor kernel update is not anything like welcome :/
