Bug Description
My desktop effects used to work.
They ALWAYS worked!
I'm on Karmic alpha 4.
I use the Nvidia propriatary drivers and, trying to help the nouveau project, I disabled the desktop effects and ran REnouveau.
And when I tried to re-enable the effects (I hadn't even restarted my computer or updated anything), it told me that it wasn't possible!
But what's the weirdest is that, when the computer try to enable the effects, THEY DO enable themselves for like 2 seconds, AND if I close the window during these two seconds, the desktop effects do remains, but I end up with Xorg taking half of my processors.
