I can confirm that the Sensitivity adjustment causes no noticeable change in the pointer motion. The expected behaviour would be that a lower sensitivity would make it move more slowly (which is before the acceleration factor is applied).

Another useful interpretation would be that a low sensitivity would define a number of pixels that the pointer would need to move before the acceleration was applied OR a number of units the mouse was moved before the pointer moved at all. These two later interpretations would be good accessibility features because it would make it easier for people with unsteady hands to use the mouse (many elderly people). Really, I think all these settings should be configurable, but that might belong to some future mouse calibration dialog.

For now, I think we should either make sure that the slider alters the pointer speed or simply remove it completely.
