The Ubuntu Desktop Team wants to ship gnome-control-center 3.26 with Ubuntu 17.10.
This is a major change as the default "shell" has changed.
Justification for Delay
=======================
We did not push this update before Ubuntu 17.10 Feature Freeze because we didn't want to knowingly introduce regressions. There are 2 patches that need to be rewritten:
- The system-wide network proxy patch
- The Ubuntu Dock settings patch.
All 3 of those big changes landed only about 2 weeks ago or less (new default shell, rewritten Network panel, Ubuntu Dock Settings). There's just a lot going on in the Desktop Team right now!
Other Info
==========
gnome-control-center 3.25.91 is available for testing in the GNOME3 Staging PPA. |

It's possible that there are regressions in the new shell but we'd like to try to find and fix those in time for 18.04 LTS. |
