TEST CASE:
-click on the shutdown button
-select `Displays...`
-try to close gcc window
-try to click the Display icon

Thank you for your bug report, does stopping indicator-session stop the respawning? Could you add your .xsession-errors to the bug?

In console running sudo killall indicator-session return
indicator-session no process found
I can close the window clicking many times the red button

well, gnome-control-center doesn't respawn itself by magic so something is doing that and you need to figure why, does ps afx indicates what started it?

important:
1-The bug is triggered only if GCC is started from `Display` entry in indicator-session
2-clicking on diplay icon, the icon enlight but nothing more
3-clicking on reduce, the window reduce then restore quickly
