Bug Description

the display applet inside gnome-control-center refuses to load. Click on it causes the program to endlessly loop (I can't even xkill it, it just respawns) stealing focus each time it respawns. minimizing, or closing the app causes it to respawn in the middle of the screen with focus, display the applets.

I have the same problem after applying some updates from 12.04 LTS to 12.10. It is really annoying and I'm tempted to try out other OS's.
