Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-applets
This problem is related to bug: 566260 (Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 doesn't modify brightness on Sony VAIO VGN-NW21MF (ATI Mobility 512MB)
I've found that the brightness applet is able to control the brightness on my Sony Vaio VGN-NW21MF, but the applet doesn't seem work with mouse clicks. (i.e. If I open the applet and mouse click anywhere on the bar, the bar disappears with no change to brightness)
The workaround I have is to open the applet, and then either use the mouse's scrollwheel or the keyboard up/down arrows to affect the brightness bar.
