lol, this is from a while ago! glad my patch helped someone :-)

i'm not a coder btw: is there something I have to do to get this patch included in the default gmail-notify package? Do I contact the ubuntu package maintainer, or the main package maintainer (found his email in the README)? or is it not important-enough a bug?
