it can be related, hard to tell.
(your failures are consistently heap corruptions
detected in malloc/free, instead of dynamic tls
related state corruption)

if you can rebuild glibc try the patches from
comment 7 if they don't help then your issue
is different. (if the issue disappears we don't
know if the new barriers just masked your issue
or fixed them).
