can't insert image in glabels

this is happening in ubuntu64 9.04 beta. when selecting an image to insert into a label, the tiny image window (on the label) closes immediately. there are no error messages or anything in the logs. this has happened on 2 different installs.

I can now confirm that this has happened on 3 different installs on 3 different computers. I would say at this point it is a major sticking point. Glabels is useless if one cannot insert images.

I can confirm this bug too.
It also affects barcodes and even textfields if you change the font-style.

the bug is still present after Jaunty went to RC status.

Same thing here on 9.04. no error message. last 2.2.4 release has the same issue.

I tested the Latest 2.2.5 released (glabels-2.2.5.tar.gz) and it works fine in ubuntu x64 9.0.4

I tested 2.2.5 on 9.04 (Jaunty) and found that when the labels are printed, images are replaced with a solid rectangle.

I can also confirm that this bug is occurring for Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) x86_64. The version of glabels i'm using is 2.2.3-0ubuntu1 which comes from the repository.

I'm using the glabels from getdeb.net (2.2.5), and not having this problem any more. I was able to print some DVD labels with it so it doesn't appear to have the problem frotz mentioned.
