I have now gimp package 2.10.36-3build3

and i have done this 4 steps:

+ 1. Install GIMP on Ubuntu 24.04.
+ 2. Create a blank image and draw a black squiggly line in it.
+ 3. Export it as a PNG.
+ 4. Close GIMP, and click "Discard" when prompted if you want to save your changes.

Gimp does not crash anymore. It closes without failure. Thanks!
