[hardy alpha 5] The GIMP is named GNU Image Manipulation Program which is not explicit (should be "The GIMP")

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gimp

In Applications>Graphics, The GIMP is named "GNU Image Manipulation Program" whereas it is known and famous as "The GIMP"
Besides, when right-clicking on a picture in a folder, you have the possibility in the context menu to "open [it] with..." "GNU Image Manipulation Program" which is still not explicit
Maybe the name of these shorcuts should be "The GIMP" ?

Hi,

In my opinion the current name is better. Firstly, it is more
obvious from the name what the program is for. Secondly,
you say it is "known and famous as "The GIMP"", however
I assume this is only true within the people who have seen
the name and then found out what it was.

Thanks,

James

i must admit that i'm french therefore the sentence "it is known and famous as The GIMP" was about my feeling considering my country.
Yet The GIMP is crossplatlform therefore its is *possible* to an ubuntu user to have heard of it

Yet Firefox is explicitely named with its description (their is both elements). Same for OpenOffice.org modules.

Maybe the same could be done with "The GIMP" (something like "The GIMP Image Manipulation") ?
