Bug Description
I filed a bug report to LibreOffice about not printing documents correctly:
http://
But, as it tourned out, the problem wasn't LibreOffice, but the CUPS in Ubuntu. If a PDF file is printed using lpr, or if I print a text from LibreOffice, I get wrong characters printed all over the page. But, If I print PDF from Evince, the printing is fine. LibreOffice uses lpr for printing, and is affected by this bug.
Input (ODT) and output (PDF) files, together with photographs of printed pages are available in LibreOffice bug report, but, if needed, I can re-post them here.
I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit, fully updated. I also installed today's cups update, but the problem remains.
We have already two bug reports like this, and thjere are fixes in Ghostscript: bug 879977 and bug 891074. For the former the fix is already in the official updates for Oneiric, for the latter we have prepared the update for testing. Please make sure your system is completely updated and if the problem still persists, test the update proposed in bug 891074. Tell here what solved your problem and if nothing helps, please tell us, too. Thanks.
