This is the only output regarding DBUS:
$ strings /proc/5548/environ | grep DBUS
DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS=unix:abstract=/tmp/dbus-PwOQj2JfC6,guid=d834a9413e993315867021320000007d

I start gedit from nautilus by just opening a text file.
