After investigating a little further, I can see that this feature would be very easy to add.
All that would have to be done is this:
When someone double-clicks a tab, the program could (behind the scenes) uncheck any of these checked options from the view menu:
- View > Show Message Window - View > Show Toolbar - View > Show Sidebar
Upon this double-click, the program should take note of the state of these options before doing the un-checking.
Then, on the next double-click of a tab (any tab), it could then toggle back to the previous settings.
