I recently (for the last 3-4 days) had blinking cursor on boot of Ubuntu 19.10. I thought that it was due to some iwlwifi driver conflict error (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/eoan/+source/linux/+bug/1846016), but it seemed that it was not from it. At one time i noticed on boot some red lines with gdm3 written on them, so i decided to apt purge and then install again gnome-shell. It seemed to work, but now errors pop up for me to report. I'm new to Linux, so i don't know the all internal workings of it (mainly the error catching practices).
