I replaced gdm with kdm on the server side but now I get:
Could not init font path element /usr/share/fonts/X11/cyrillic, removing from list!
FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/share/fonts/X11/misc" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.
when trying to connect. I do get to see the kdm login screen for a fraction of a second.
